OscarAir, Inc. is an organization consisting of air quality specialists from diverse backgrounds and companies.  The team at OscarAir, Inc. includes individuals with a variety of expertise such as mechanical engineers, researchers, indoor air quality specialists, industrial designers, application engineers and air testing consultants. Our experience and wealth of professional resources has led us to become experts in air quality control, especially dehumidification.

Our Mission

OscarAir Inc., named after the founder’s son Oscar, was developed to increase consumer’s education about air quality control and how to choose the correct equipment for their particular requirements.  This website, www.basementdehumidifiers.net, was designed to inform and educate the public about how to identify excessive moisture problems in their basement and how to solve those problems.  High humidity in your basement can lead to:

Left unchecked, these destructive elements can harm both your health and home.  The medical community is in agreement about the dangers that mold in your home poses.  In fact, mold is the primary culprit in most sinus infections.  Unfortunately, basements provide the type of dark, moist environment that mold thrives in.  The best way to keep mold from growing is to remove the excess moisture from the air.  The best way to accomplish this is with a properly sized commercial grade dehumidifier.

When the OscarAir, Inc. team got together to create this website, one of the first things we realized is that homeowners were using dehumidifiers in their basements that were not designed for harsh basement environments.  People buy cheap appliance grade dehumidifiers and expect them to do much more than they’re capable of.  For effective dehumidification, the moist air has to be moved over the dehumidifier’s coils.   Appliance grade dehumidifiers have small fans that offer minor air movement.  Our search kept leading us to cheap units that couldn’t perform or expensive models that didn’t offer much bang for the buck.

So, our OscarAir, Inc. team put our collective heads together, designed a remarkable commercial grade dehumidifier and had it custom manufactured for us.  We have designed a high quality basement dehumidifier that is both rugged and portable.  We took many top features found in other units and combined them into this robust dehumidifier that was created especially for basements.  We incorporated top quality components with precision construction to provide a basement dehumidifier that is durable, powerful, user friendly, energy efficient and cost effective.  Our basement dehumidifier may cost a little more than off the shelf store models, but its performance and reliability make it an exceptional value.
